Photoshoot
We wanted to create some shots of the chip cone and salad cream for the Boards and also possibly for the moving image. Jenny Sneap a tear 3 Viscom student has put an email out offering her photography services so as Kirsty and I were not very confident at setting up photoshoots we decided to take hr up on her offer.
As it was we did need three pair of hands so to speak!
This was a really enjoyable part of the collaboration and it really pulled together the tone of voice for the campaign.

YCN Campaign Moving image
I did a very quick storyboard for this which is hardly worth putting up but none the less it was part of the development. the initial storyboard ideas set the tone of voice for the campaign with the sunshine and also this linked back to the SC and the Sunshine Band song we were using for the campaign.
After the crit I redesigned the posts the general feeling was they linked to much to the Ben and Jerrys campaign
Kirsty vectored the icrecream van based on my original idea right at the start of the campaign

Kirsty added the Snap tag and campaign logo to the other designs

We worked together with the design side if one of us designed the other would then crit and we would adjust until we were both happy

YCN Camapaign straplines
One thing that has been bugging me is a 'strap line' to identify our campaign.
Initially I was researching around "ice cream ' ideas such as the "99' tour, The latest 'scoop. Also using the current 'heinz 'Bring on the zing'. Zing up your food. What will you eat with yours? Are you a dipper or a squeezer?
I have been playing around with ideas around the 'sunshine' feel good ideas and also DJ/MC play on words. I suddenly remembered a 70's band called KC and the Sunshine Band. They had this really catchy hit called 'Thats the way I like it'
I wasn't sure whether 'SC and The Sunshine Van' would work with our target audience however when I ran it passed Kirsty she thought it was really catchy. The song also gave us a hook ' How do you like it?' which is both cheeky and also leads to engage people to think how they like their salad cream.
